Make note that Kathy will be out of the center from March 4-23 on vacation.

We have two upcoming outreach activities to share with you:

* On Saturday, March 4, Bruce will lead a “Hike, Light, and Tour of the Air and Space Museum.” We ask members to offer Light to our guests from noon – 2:00 pm. If you are available, please join us. More information is on the bulletin board at the center.

* On Saturday March 25, from 10 AM to 5:00 PM, we will be giving Light at the Holistic and Wellness Expo at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, VA. If you’re interested in joining us, there’s a sign up sheet in the lobby.

Our next Primary Spiritual Development Course will be held from Friday, March 24 to Sunday, March 26. The lecturer for all 3 days will be Regional Manager, Mr. Ken Kitatani. Also, the Director of the New York Center, Mr. Hiroaki Higaki, will be here on the third day to bestow Omitamas on the candidates.

If you are interested in joining the 58th Anniversary Ceremony of Sukyo Mahikari Tour at the Main World Shrine, please sign up by April 14.

January 2017 Ceremony Announcements

This year’s Intermediate Course will be held in Toronto, Canada, from July 28-30. Details have been posted on the bulletin board in the lobby and will be distributed by email very soon. If you plan on registering for the course as a candidate or a reviewer, please submit your application and course offering by May 1. While the official course deadline is May 15, we need a little extra time to prepare and translate the applications into Japanese.

If you are planning to attend and are a US citizen, please make sure that your passport is up to date and won’t expire until January 2018. If you are not a citizen, please check online to determine if you need a visa to enter Canada.

There is a sign-up sheet on the lobby bulletin board for the Intermediate Course. Please indicate if you’re planning to drive or if you need a ride, and if you would like to share a hotel room. Our travel coordinator, Ganesh Thirungana, will help to connect people who need help with transportation and lodging.
